Founded in 1968, AGC Contractors is one of Cyprus’ leading construction companies, with a portfolio spanning residential, commercial, educational, hospitality, cultural and industrial sectors.
We have built our reputation on consistently delivering projects within agreed timeframes and budgets, supported by rigorous health, safety and quality standards.
Registered in Class A, the highest classification awarded by the Council of Registration and Control of Contractors for Construction and Civil Engineering Projects, AGC has the expertise, technical personnel, management capability and operational resources required to successfully undertake complex, large-scale developments.
Throughout our journey, we have contributed to a diverse range of projects, working alongside distinguished consultants, trusted partners and highly skilled professionals.
Since securing our first international contract in 1994, we have expanded our presence beyond Cyprus, with operations in Romania.
What continues to define us, however, is not only what we build, but how we build. We take pride in the consistency with which we approach every project, maintaining the same personal care we offered from the very beginning, proactively safeguarding quality, adapting to evolving project requirements and building long-term relationships founded on trust, reliability and collaboration.

Our Story
AGC’s story began in 1968, when Andreas Georgiou undertook his first construction project at the age of 20. From the very beginning, the company was built on a simple belief: every project deserves the same level of care, personal commitment and sense of responsibility as if it were being built for our own people. That philosophy continues to define AGC to this day.
As the company grew, the second generation joined the business. George Georgiou, holding a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, and Joseph Merhi, holding a Master’s degree in Business Administration, brought together technical expertise and business insight while gradually assuming leadership and guiding AGC through a new era of growth and modernisation. Throughout that evolution, the company’s values, personal approach and commitment to lasting relationships remained unchanged.
Today, AGC remains a family-owned company, supported by a highly skilled team of engineers, project managers and professionals. With the recent addition of the third generation, the company continues to look ahead with confidence, while its future remains guided by the people, expertise and values that have defined AGC for more than five decades.
