AGC Contractors Ltd (AGC), established in 1968, is one of the leading construction companies in Cyprus.
We take pride in consistently building Quality projects within the Time & Budget constraints specified whilst fully adhering to the EU directives on Health & Safety.
The “Council of Registration and Control of Contractors for Construction and Civil Engineering Projects” has registered AGC in “Class A”. This is the highest category of the industry; it includes only companies with the relevant experience, the appropriate qualified technical personnel and management and the required machinery to undertake successfully large construction projects.
In 1992, AGC was awarded by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, the first prize for ‘Best Constructed Project of the Year’.
In 1994, AGC was awarded contracts outside Cyprus, has established related companies there and has been active abroad ever since. We currently have offices in Romania and Iraq.
In our 55-year+ history, we have had the opportunity to serve all sectors of the economy, contributing alongside distinguished consultants and crafting with skilful personnel. The journey has rewarded us with immense pride and satisfaction and invaluable experience. We nonetheless remain focused to satisfy our client needs maintaining the same personal care as we did in the very beginning.
Our 250+ portfolio of projects include: Municipality building, Theatre, Universities, Schools, Industrial Warehouses, Technical projects, Commercial buildings (office blocks) and Residential buildings (complexes, villas, terrace houses, flats).
History
AGC Contractors was founded by Mr. Andreas Georgiou as a private limited company.
Born in a small mountainous village of Dhymes in Cyprus, Andreas Georgiou studied at the technical school of Nicosia and 1968, at the young age of 20, began taking on building construction projects.
Originally, the company was incorporated as ‘Εργοληπτική Εταιρία Αντρέας Γεώργιου Λτδ’.
In 2003, George Georgiou, holder of a Master degree in Civil Engineering and Joseph Merhi holder of a Masters in Business Administration degree join the firm’s management team. The company expands further both in terms of workforce, infrastructure and turnover. To reflect this modernization, the company’s name is changed to AGC Contractors Ltd bearing the initials of its founder.
AGC remains a family owned, private company, focusing on building ΕΡΓΑ ΖΩΗΣ.

A deep sense of satisfaction is received when at the delivery of every project the client stands proud and poses smilingly for a photo. This in itself is a testimony that the client is not only satisfied with the end result but also with the process that led them there.
